Technology
Although the internet is reportedly worth £100bn to the UK economy our technology practice is much broader than this. Technology underpins the processes and production lines in some of the world’s largest industries such as utilities, chemicals, transportation and manufacturing and reaches into every sector of the world economy, even to the Internet of Things. The range of enterprises active in the sector spans governments, multi-national corporations and start-up businesses. The new technological landscape is one in which organisations need to continually reinvent themselves to keep pace with their competitors. We are also active amongst IT-driven support services which aim to deliver cost reduction, enhanced productivity, and reduced risk.
Over recent years clean technology has also been one of the areas to receive the largest technology investments, not least in getting products into the market and developing the associated manufacturing processes.
Technology is one of our busiest practices and supports so much of our other work. The practice covers information technology, telecoms, cable services, computer games, satellite, internet services, digital media, e-commerce, general technology and cleantec.
